These two sides will do battle on Tuesday evening at the Victoria Stadium in Gibraltar in a Champions League First Round Qualifying second leg.  The opening leg took place the week before and finished honours even in a game that ended 2-2.  Lincoln Red Imps had taken a two goal lead in the opening 50 minutes before two goals in two minutes brought Fola Esch level and right back into the contest.

Lincoln Red Imps qualified for the Champions League after winning the Gibraltar league for the sixth time all of which have come since the 2013/14 season.  They have struggled in this competition and have never progressed further than the Second Qualifying Round.  It is just two defeats from 14 matches in all competitions at their own ground with one of these coming from Rangers in the Europa League last season.

Fola Esch qualified for this tournament having won the Luxembourg top flight for third time and their first since the 2014/15 campaign.  On the two previous occasions they qualified for this competition they were eliminated at the second qualifying stage.  They are still searching for their first win in this competition at the seventh attempt.
