Lille Osc vs Angers Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

Lille begin 2021 in second place, only behind Ligue 1 leaders Lyon on goal difference. They host Angers who are in ninth place, but only a point behind the Europa League qualifying position. Lille went into their final game of last year in top position. They got a win at Montpellier but a 3-0 win for Lyon meant it was them who ended 2020 top of the league on goal difference. The win at Montpellier came from an 86th minute winner and extended Lille's unbeaten run to seven league games with five wins. Their home form is impressive this season and they are yet to lose a home Ligue 1 fixture. Their most recent match saw them draw 0-0 with PSG (they also drew at home with Lyon) maintaining their impressive defensive record on home soil. Only four home league goals have been conceded this season. They are unbeaten in their last 11 home league games, last losing in February of last year. 

Angers are in ninth and have only one win in their last four league games. They only trail fifth placed Marseille  (who they beat in their last match) by a point but have played two games more. They are a side that lacks consistency and only once this season have managed to win two league fixtures in a row. Away form has sen them win four of their eight matches with two losses. When they do lose on their travels, it's a bit of a nightmare for them. Montpellier beat them 4-1 and PSG 6-1, the other six games have seen them unbeaten with 12 goals and four conceded. They have alread had away wins against two of the top seven teams in the league so this won't be a cakewalk for Lille. The home side are in good form though and can get another win.
