Zenit Saint Petersburg go into this game as leaders of Champions League Group G with four points from their two games. That puts them ahead of Lyon (also on four points) and a point ahead of their opponents RB Leipzig who are third ahead of pointless Benfica. Zenit drew their first group game 1-1 at Lyon, though they did take the lead in that game. Then they got a victory beating Benfica 3-1 at home. Zenit are currently second in the Russian Premier League and unbeaten in their last three games, all won with 12 goals scored. Their last loss was away at league leaders Lokomotiv Moscow. They have won three of their last five away matches with only that loss at Moscow.

RB Leipzig had Timo Werner to thank for his two goals as they started this group with a 2-1 win at Benfica. They didn't build on that though with a 2-0 home loss to Lyon leaving them in third place in the group. The German side made a good start to their 2019/20 Bundesliga campaign with three straight wins but are now fifth in the table. That's only a point behind leaders Bayern Munich. Their last four games have produced two draws and two losses. Home form has seen them without a win in four games and they have only won one of four Champions League home matches. A double chance on Zenit to win or draw this match is the suggested tip.
