Two sides with the tightest defences in Bundesliga will face off in the penultimate stage of the season, RB Leipzig playing host to Wolfsburg. Four points separate the sides, with Leipzig second on 64 points while Wolfsburg have 60 points in third place. With a win here, Leipzig will secure a second place finish and will be a good consolation from two straight defeats. The hosts are coming from back to back losses against Borussia Dortmund, the most recent a painful one as they fell 4-1 in the DFB Cup final. The team’s coach Julian Nagelsmann was hoping to guide the team to silverware ahead of departure at the end of the season but that hasn’t come to pass. Leipzig have struggled a bit in their recent matches, winning two and losing three in the last five. One of the two wins came in extra time. Twice in the last three league matches, Leipzig have conceded two goals or more and they have just one win in their last three home league matches. None of their last four league matches at home has produced over 2.5 goals.

Wolfsburg had a free week as Leipzig took on Dortmund in the DFB Cup thus will be fresher for this clash. In their last match, Wolfsburg hit Union Berlin 3-0 courtesy of Josip Brekalo’s hat trick and they’ll be looking to extend the same on Leipzig though a run of three losses in their last five matches doesn’t inspire confidence that they can get three points here. They have scored two or more goals in four of their last five league matches. In the last 11 league matches they’ve failed to score in just one while each of their last five away matches has yielded over 2.5 goals.
