Leipzig vs Tottenham Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League

The Champions League is the most exciting competition in club football one could forgive Tottenham fans if they weren't exactly pumped about their team's trip to Germany to take on RB Leipzig this Tuesday. Trailing by a goal from the first leg, Spurs have a tough task on their hands to overturn the deficit at the Red Bull Arena. Jose Mourinho started off his reign as Spurs boss cheerfully but that has quickly given way to his trademark politicised pessimism. Tottenham still have key players out injured and are not in good form coming into this Champions League game. The past week has seen them knocked out of the FA Cup and a 1-1 league draw at Burnley. It's possible they might not even qualify for Europe next season after a run of five games without a win.

Likely to be encouraged by the problems their opponents are having, Leipzig hardly need the extra help for this match. They were much the better team for the majority of their away first and they were only denied a bigger lead by the handiwork of Hugo Lloris. Extending that lead in Leipzig should not be a problem. They are unbeaten in their last 11 home matches in all competitions, a run that stretches back to October 2019. Their Bundesliga title challenge is faltering though and they could only draw 0-0 with Wolfsburg on Saturday.  Seven of those games were wins and we expect them to add another when a Spurs side that has just one win in their last eight away games shows up. Back Leipzig to win by two clear goals.
