Leicester vs Sheffield United Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Nella Wagah | in Premier League Prediction
Leicester City have another chance to stick out their top four credentials when they welcome Sheffield United at the King Power Stadium in Round 29 of the Premier League. The hosts go to this game placed third, with 53 points while Sheffield United have 14 points, in 20th place in the standings. Leicester haven’t had the best results in their recent matches and as a result ceded quite some ground in their push for a high finish. The 2-1 win over Brighton in the last match was their first in four matches but they go to this clash with no clean sheet in the last five matches. Three of their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals and the Foxes have conceded two or more goals in two of their last four matches. Leicester will hope for a good break at home, having underperformed in league matches there this season. They’ve won just six of their 13 league games at home, securing 19 out of a possible 39 points. Brendan Rodgers’ side has two losses in the last three home matches in the league, and worse, lead scorer Jamie Vardy is on a goal drought, now six games without scoring. The team is also grappling with injuries to top attacking players, including James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Dennis Praet, all who are ruled out.
Sheffield United failed to build on their win over Aston Villa and fell 2-0 at home to Southampton. They’ve been poor in the season and though at some point showed the will to push for survival, with every passing round now they seem destined for the Championship. Sheffield United have scored the least goals in the league and won the least number of matches. In four of their last five matches, the bottom placed side has failed to score, and has just one clean sheet – gained in the 1-0 win over Aston Villa. That goal against Villa is their only one in the last five matches, while they’ve conceded eight goals in the process. Chris Wilder’s side has lost each of the last three away matches ahead of the Leicester game, and scored no goal. They have no win over Leicester in the last nine meetings and going by recent form, Leicester may be headed for a seventh straight win over the Blades.

Our Leicester vs Sheffield United Prediction
At this point it is hard to imagine this is the same Sheffield side that just last season had a strong push for a Europa League slot. Their decline has been so bad and even though Leicester are not the best performers at home, banking on Sheffield getting anything at King Power sounds impossible. Leicester have gone through hard times in the recent matches but will want to build on their win over Brighton. A home win is the best pick here.
