Leicester may not have much of a chance of repeating that astonishing romp to the Premier League title, but the way they are performing this season is no less impressive than those glory days of 2015/16. The Foxes head into December in 2nd place in the Premier League, sitting on a comfortable 10 point cushion between themselves and 5th place Wolves. What’s more, they’re in excellent form and face a relatively favourable festive fixture list. Leicester’s 2-0 win over Brighton last weekend made it six wins on the bounce for them, including an incredible 9-0 demolition of Southampton just over a month ago. That was one of four clean sheets in this period, and the eight goals they have conceded so far this season leaves them with the best defensive record in the top flight.

Everton, who many were expecting to be challenging Leicester for the title of best of the rest, find themselves in a far worse position. They lost to the dreadful Norwich last weekend to leave them 16th in the table, just four points outside the relegation zone. Unlike their opponents, their December fixture list is looking rather frightening. They will face Leicester (twice), Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal over the next three weeks, so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that they could find themselves in the drop zone come Christmas.
