A new month begins and the weekend fixtures commence with third placed Leicester City hosting Chelsea who are fourth. The home side will meed to get over their exit from the Carabao Cup at the semi-final stage. They surprisingly lost to Aston Villa and now need to concentate on finishing in the top four and perhaps winning the FA Cup. City begin the game with a an eight point lead over their opponents and 14 clear of Manchester United in fifth. A return to the Champions League is looking likely but Leicester's fomr has slipped a bit of late. They have lost three of their last five games in all competitons with the only wins coming at Brentford in the FA Cup last weekend and a 4-1 home win over West Ham United. Only one point had been earned from City's previous three home league games, so this isn't the dominant side that we saw earlier in the season.

Chelsea occupy the final Champions League spot and are six points ahead of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers. They have also been getting mixed results of late. Chelsea lost at Newcastle, drew with Arsenal and won at Hull City in the FA Cup fourth round. Their away form has been good this season in the Premier League. Seven games have been won and that's a total bettered only by Liverpool and Manchester City. Their games haven't been short of goals either with 45 in 12 away league matches. Nine of the last eleven have seen both teams score and that stat to come up again is the prediction for this game.
