The solidity Leicester City showed in the earlier stages of the season has evaded them in recent times and as they host Aston Villa this Monday, they will keen on getting their mojo back. Leicester are placed third with 50 points, which is double the Villa tally of 25 and are one from bottom in the table. Leicester have already lost to Aston Villa this season; 2-1 in the League Cup back in January but they head here straight from a 1-0 win over Birmingham City in the FA Cup. They will be keen to sink another Birmingham based side. The FA Cup win was Leicester’s first in five matches, and they had failed to score in three matches before that. Though their home form in the league this season has been good, in recent matches they have had a slump, winning just one of the last six. They also have no clean sheet in their last six home matches in the league.

Leicester City are still among the sides with the best defensive performances in the season despite their recent slump in the league. They face an Aston Villa side with the worst defence in the season, having conceded 52 goals. While Villa have been poor in defence, lately they have been scoring regularly; in their last 11 matches, they have failed to score in just one. They have however conceded two or more in six of their last 10 matches. Villa have suffered straight losses in their last four matches, including the 2-1 defeat by Manchester City in the League Cup final. They have three straight losses in the league and with no clean sheet in the last eight league matches. They have no clean sheet in 14 away matches in the league, and have won just two. In eight of the last 10 away matches in the Premier League, Villa have conceded two goals or more.
