Leeds United are back in the English Championship and will host West Bromwich Albion on Friday. After two rounds, Leeds are down in 19th place in the standings, two points adrift of 14th-placed West Brom. Leeds United are yet to win a game in their return to the Championship and have amassed one point so far. That was earned on matchday one in a 2-2 draw at home with Cardiff City. Last time out Daniel Farke's charges were defeated 1-0 away to Birmingham. The Whites are currently unbeaten in the last five meetings with West Brom. They won both encounters in the 2019/20 season where both teams competed in the Premier League.

West Bromwich Albion arrives for this match off the back of a win and they will be keen to keep this momentum here. Carlos Corberan's charges bounced back from their opening-round defeat away to Blackburn Rovers by winning 3-2 at home against Swansea. The Baggies are one of six teams in the league tied on three points. Before the win over Swansea, West Brom had gone seven matches without a win. This run started with their second match of pre-season and saw them suffer defeat five times. West Brom were unfortunate not to secure a promotion playoff slot last season. After looking primed to finish in the top six all year, Albion faltered at the tail end of the campaign. They finished three points outside the top six and will target a more consistent run this season.
