Learner Tien vs Nuno Borges Prediction & Betting Tips - Rolex Paris Masters

19-year-old Learner Tien is making his Paris Masters debut. The American faces fellow unseeded player Nuno Borges in the first round of this indoor hard court tournament. Here's our match prediction.

Tien has been making strides up the rankings this year. The teenager is 39th in the live rankings and has won 26 of his 39 hard court matches played this year. This is his first tournament since losing in three sets to Daniil Medvedev in the Shanghai Masters.

Before that, Tien had made it all the way to the Beijing final with wins over Medvedev and Lorenzo Musetti. He's also reached two other ATP Tour hard court quarter-finals.

The winner of this match will take on either 12th seed Andrey Rublev or qualifier Jacob Fearnley in round two.

Nuno Borges is 46th in the live rankings and is making his second appearance in this tournament. Last year saw him lose in round one to Alejandro Tabilo. He has lost his last two matches, most recently being beaten in three sets by Daniil Medvedev in Vienna last week.

That followed a fourth round loss to Alex de Minaur in round four of the Shanghai Masters. Six of his last ten matches have been lost and this is another difficult opener for Borges. We tip Tien to win.
