Cologne welcomes Borussia Dortmund to the Rhein Energie Stadion for this Bundesliga match. The home team are currently in 7th position with 39 points while the visitors are in second place with 56 points. Cologne are coming off an excellent 1-0 away win against third placed Bayer Leverkusen. They have only lost once in their last four league matches. Cologne are just five points away from the Europa Conference league qualifying positions and will need a win to stay in touch with sixth paced Hoffenheim. They will need to find greater consistency especially in their home matches as they have lost three of their last six home league matches. Cologne have an uphill task in this match as they have not won at home against Dortmund since 2015. The last four home matches against them have produced two losses and two draws. They have however beaten Dortmund away from home in 2020.
Dortmund have revived their title ambitions in recent weeks thanks to a run that has seen them lose just once in their last nine matches.
