Juventus’ inconsistency was once again on display as they took on Bologna in the Serie A clash on Saturday. After their late goal to secure a 1-1 draw, they will be at home for their return leg clash against Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia. The hosts lead 1-0 from the first leg and will be hoping to defend the lead though they haven’t been at their best lately. In their most recent game, Juventus needed to come from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Bologna, and that goal came after Bologna had been reduced to nine men. In four of their last five matches, Juventus have trailed, and coming into this one, they have just one clean sheet in six matches. They have failed to score in two of their last five matches and their only comfortable win in the last five, was against the bottom side in Serie A – Salernitana – a 2-0 win at home. Playing at home has however not offered better; they have no win in their last two home games and in the last six, they’ve managed two wins.

Fiorentina have found their footing and are going for the top four in Serie A. They are coming from a 1-0 win over Venezia, their sixth straight unbeaten outing and they have four wins in their last five matches. The visitors haven’t been scoring a lot of goals but they have surely recovered from Dusan Vlahovic’s exit, only managing more than a goal in one of the last nine matches. However, Uruguayan Lucas Torreira has been in great scoring form, scoring three times in the last five matches and those were crucial opening goals. They have done well defensively, keeping three clean sheets in the last five matches. As they travel to Turin, they will need this form, given their former hitman, Vlahovic is also in good form at Juventus. They will also need to replicate their away form which has three wins in five and just one loss in seven. In their last seven away matches, they have two wins over Napoli, a win over Atalanta and a draw with Inter Milan, and they will surely be confident here.
