On four previous occasions Novak Djokovic has won two Grand Slam tournaments in a row and in 2015 he followed up success at Wimbledon with a win at the US Open. He bids to achieve that feat again on Sunday when he faces Juan Martin del Potro in the US Open final. Djokovic has made a highly successful comeback from injury this year and is favourite to win this title for the third time. He dropped sets in his first two rounds but since then has won set after set. In the semi-final he defeated Kei Nishikori losing just nine games in doing so. Since winning Wimbledon he won the Masters series tournament in Cincinatti and has only lost one of his last 22 matches with the last 12 all being won. He's won five of his last six matches against del Potro with his last defeat coming in the 2016 Olympics.

Now comes his second Grand Slam final after he beat Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals. He won the first two sets and then the world number one retired with a knee injury. del Potro is no stranger to injuries himself as they have blighted his career  Since the 2010 Australian Open, he's missed 14 Grand Slam tournaments but he's again a major threat now having reached the semi-final in France and the quarter-final at Wimbledon and is now ranked third in the world. He's only dropped one set on his way to this final, a tie break to John Isner in the last eight.
