Italy drew 0-0 with Portgual on Saturday and that ended their hopes of reaching the finals of the UEFA Nations League. That's the second major finals they have missed out on so they'll be desperate not to miss out on the 2020 European Championships. They start their preparations with this home friendly against the USA. Italy have only won one of their last seven games and goals have been in short supply with only two scored in the last four internationals. Home form is still strong though with no defeats in the last 14 though the last four have ended all-square. 

The USA also failed to make it to Russia for the 2018 World Cup finals and aren't in the best of form going into this game. Thursday saw them lose 3-0 away to England and that makes it one win in the last seven internationals for the Americans. Away form is a problem with no wins in their last six and this looks a tough task for them. Go for Italy to get the win in a low-scoring affair.
