Both of these sides are in League B of the UEFA Nations League but might not be for much longer. They are both bottom of their respective groups and could do with a good performance here before resuming their relegation battles. The Republic of Ireland have only ever lost twice to their opponents, the most recent being a charity fundraiser in 1999. They are in deep relegation trouble in their UEFA Nations League group with only one point from three games. They are struggling for goals with only four in their last seven matches and none in their two home UEFA Nations League games.

Also in trouble are Northern Ireland who have lost all three of their league games and look destined to be relegated. They have lost four of their last five matches and only won two of the last 11. Away form has been disappointing to say the least with two draws and four losses in their last six on the road and even worse not a single goal scored. Their last 11 away internationals have seen them score in just two games and they were against Azerbaijan and San Marino. With a record like that, the tip here is for a home win.
