Inter Milan vs Real Madrid Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League

These two giants of European football are struggling to make it into the knock-out stages of the Champions League. Inter are bottom on two points, two behind third placed Real Madrid. The Italian side have been knocked out in the group stages for the past two seasons, both times going into the Europa League. They made it all the way to the Europa League final last season, this season they might not even make it into that competition. Three games have produced just two points but it could be less. A 90th minute equalizer saw them rescue a home point against Borussia Monchengladbach. Since then, they have drawn at Shakhtar Donetsk and conceded an 80th minute goal to lose 3-2 at Real Madrid. Another loss to the Spaniards in this game would put them in real danger of not even finishing third, especially if Shakhtar get something at Monchengladbach the same night. Inter had to come from 2-0 down on Sunday to get a home win over struggling Torino. They have only won two of their last nine league and cup games. Five home games this season have seen Inter win twice, draw twice and lose to Milan. They have conceded at least twice in each of those home matches. Only one of their last six home games in this competition has been won with four of those matches being drawn.

Real Madrid made a terrible start to this group, losing 3-2 at home to Shakhtar Donetsk. They followed that up with a near disaster in Germany. Going into the 87th minute, they trailed Monchengladbach 2-0 but somehow managed to rescue a point. Their only win in this group came at home to Inter but that was a struggle. They twice gave away a lead before an 80th minute winner gave them three very welcome points. Real haven't been in great form since that victory. They lost 4-1 away at Valencia and on Saturday were held to a 1-1 draw at Villarreal, despite taking a second minute lead. Away form has seen them without a win in their last three matches, two being drawn.  Only two of their last five away Champions League games have been won. A loss in Milan would put them in big trouble but a bet on both teams scoring looks the one to make for this match. A side bet on a draw might be a winner too.
