It's been six years without Champions League football for Inter but they finished fourth in Serie A last season to earn a place in the group stages. In their absense they have had some seasons in the Europa League but never made it past the last sixteen and were knocked out in the group stages last season. In the 2012/13 season they met Tottenham in the last sixteen of the Europa League losing on away goals so will be out for a bit of revenge here. They aren't in the best of form though having lost two of their first four league games this season including a 1-0 home defeat by Parma on Saturday. Their only league win has been away at Bologna who are in the relegation zone. Two home league games have produced one point but it should have been more as they led Torino 2-0 before being pegged back to 2-2. Including friendlies and the International Champions Cup, Inter have three wins from their last ten games.

Tottenham won their Champions League group last season finishing ahead of eventual winners Real Madrid. They didn't lose away to Real and also held Juventus to a draw in the last sixteen before losing the home leg. This season has seen them win their first three Premier League fixtures but they have lost the last two to Watford and Liverpool. Tottenham have only lost one of their last seven away games in the Champions League and the tip here is for them to get a valuable away win.
