Inter Miami will play host to Sporting KC in the MLS on Sunday. The hosts are currently in 14th place in the Eastern Conference, while the visitors are 11th in the West. It has been an incredible couple of months for Inter Miami. The introduction of Lionel Messi has had a massive impact on the performances of the club as they managed to claim their first-ever Leagues Cup title last month. After beating LAFC 3-1 last week, they are now unbeaten in their last 11 matches in all competitions and have lost just two of their last 15. However, they will have to make do without the Argentine wizard in this match as he is away on international duty. Inter Miami have failed to win any of their last six home league games, losing three and drawing the last three. To date, they have secured 15 points from a possible 36 on home soil. These sides have never met in the league in the past, though the hosts are the current bookmakers’ favourite. 

Meanwhile, Sporting KC secured a very good 2-1 win over high-flyers St Louis last weekend. That was their second consecutive league win and takes them to three wins, two draws, and just one loss in their last six matches. The visitors are now on 32 points after 27 matches and just two points behind FC Dallas and the playoff places. However, their away form has been poor of late. In their last ten league matches on the road, Sporting KC have managed only one win. They have lost four and drawn five of the remaining nine and are on a six-match winless run. The last time they won a match on the road was back in May. Still, they will know that their opponents are missing key personnel and will fancy their chances of taking something from this match as a result.
