It has been a busy time for Inter Miami. After a 5-1 away win at NY Red Bulls and then a 0-0 draw at home to Cincinnati, the Herons played three Leagues Cup matches, winning all three (one on penalties) to reach the quarter finals of that tournament. However, on Monday they played their latest MLS game and were soundly beaten 4-1 away by Orlando City. Inter lie sixth in the Eastern Conference with 42 points but have two or three games in hand on most teams above them.
Greg Vanney has endured a miserable campaign this season at Galaxy. Like Inter, they have been involved in League Cup matches, winning two group games, drawing the other (before losing on penalties) to reach the quarterfinals.
