Inter Miami aren’t doing so well in the MLS and will hope for a positive result when they welcome Montreal Impact at the PNK Stadium in Florida on Sunday. They are bottom of the Eastern Conference with nine points and take on seventh placed Montreal who have 22 points. Across the two conferences, no team has a poorer run than Inter Miami, and they head into this game on a winless run of seven matches. Six of those seven matches were losses and only in their last game did they manage to stop the bad run with a 1-1 draw against Philadelphia Union. The goal scored by Robbie Robinson was just the team’s second in the last seven matches and they are the poorest scorers in this conference with just 10 goals in 13 matches.

Montreal Impact have also suffered a dip in form lately, though they aren’t as bad as Inter Miami. They go into this game on two straight losses, breaking a run of six unbeaten matches with four wins in that run. They are coming from a 2-1 loss away to New England, having earlier lost 1-0 to New York City. Montreal’s main problem here will be the few clean sheets they’ve managed in recent matches – none in the last four matches, and just three in 10. They don’t do so well away from home, but facing the weakest team this season in the MLS should give Montreal a break after two straight away losses. In their last six matches, they’ve failed to score just once and have 10 goals in their last five matches.
