Hungary last beat the Netherlands 40 years ago. They’ve been underdogs since and the status holds ahead of this game. The last time the two nations met had Hungary on the receiving end of an 8-1 thrasing.
The home fans will have reason to fear a repeat, with Hungary having started the 2024/25 Nations League season really poorly. Their 0-0 draw with Bosnia-Herzegovina marked a bit of a recovery after falling 5-0 to Germany on Match Day 1.
