Hungary (18th seed) will take on Great Britain (19th seed) at the IIHF World Championships on Tuesday evening. Both teams have lost both their games in this competition, which sees us steering clear of the win market and going for a goals total option as our prediction.
Hungary have endured a tough start to their IIHF World Championship, losing their opening game 4-1 to Finland before going down 4-2 to Austria in their second match on Sunday.
Peter Vincze and Istvan Sofron scored Hungary’s goals against Austria in the last match, while Bence Balizs recorded 18 saves from 21 shots on goal to help the team remain competitive.
Hungary have now lost their last 10 matches across all competitions, dating back to a friendly win against Poland in overtime in mid-April.
Meanwhile, Great Britain’s return to the top division has not gone as they would have hoped, having lost both their games so far, 5-2 to Austria and 5-1 against the USA on Sunday.
Nathaniel Halbert scored Team GB’s only goal against the defending world champions in the last match. Ben Bowns was a busy man and managed 35 saves from 40 shots on goal.
The Brits are 4-6 in their last 10 matches in all competitions and have won four of their last five against this opponent.

Our Hungary vs Great Britain Prediction
Hungary have endured a disappointing start to their World Championship, losing both their games so far, and it’s tough to get behind them here, as they’ve also lost four of their last five matches against their upcoming opponents.
Tem Great Britain have clearly had the tougher opening fixtures in this competition, and they were expected to struggle in their two games, but conceding 10 goals already is certainly a major concern. Therefore, our Hungary vs Great Britain prediction is over 4.5 goals.
