Rayo Vallecano won La Liga 2 last season ahead of Huesca who also clinched promotion. Life in La Liga hasn't proved easy for Vallecano so far with both of their league games ending in defeat. They began with a 4-1 home defeat by Sevilla going 4-0 down before scoring a late penalty goal. Their only other league fixture this season was away to Atletico Madrid losing to the only goal of the game from Antoine Griezmann in the second half leaving them bottom of the table. Two difficult fixtures to begin with and this will be a bit easier but their opponents have made a better start to the season.

Huesca are in La Liga for the first time in their history and just three years ago were in the third-tier of Spanish football. They finished second behind Rayo Vallecano last season and got off to a good start in the top-tier despite having to play all three games so far away from home and are 14th in the table. Their opening fixture saw them win 2-1 at Eibar with Alex Gallar scoring both goals. Next up was a 2-2 draw at Athletic Bilbao coming from 2-0 with 19 minutes to go. One fixture all teams want to get out of the way is a visit to Barcelona. That was Huesca's third game of the season and it ended in an 8-2 defeat  That's despite taking a 1-0 lead after three minutes and they were only 3-2 down after 42 minutes. Now they finally get to play at home in their stadium that only holds 5,500 people. Last season they only lost two league games and beat Vallecano 2-1 at home. Go for a home win in this match with Huesca showing the best form of the two.
