Holstein are eighth in Bundesliga II and host Stuttgart who are in third. Stuttgart currently hold the promotion play-off position but are only behind second-placed Hamburger SV on goal difference. With the second-placed side up against the league leaders this weekend, Stuttgart could well climb the table. They had just a point from their final two games played before the league was suspended. Their comeback fixture didn’t go well as they lost 2-1 to Wehen who are in the relegation zone. The game was lost thanks to a 97th minute penalty. Stuttgart do struggle at times on the road with only three wins from 13 games and five defeats, including the last two.

Holstein will want a win here to close the gap on Stuttgart and keep their promotion hopes alive. Last weekend saw them draw 2-2 at Regensburg, despite leading 2-0 with 13 minutes to go. The equalizer came in the 92nd minute. That draw means Holstein have now gone four league games without a win with the last two drawn. Home form has been a major disappointment this season. They have only won two home league games, drawing five and losing four. Only 15 home goals have been scored and they have conceded in each of their last 12 home matches and 18 of the last 19. It's hard to trust Stuttgart at present, especially on their travels. Go for under 2.5 goals in this game.
