The Scottish Premiership season continues apace with Hibernian hosting Motherwell at Easter Road this weekend. Hibs are top of the table after three games played, all three outings ending in victory. The second of those wins was the biggest away win of the season thus far, 4-1 at Livingston. It's early days yet but the Edinburgh club will be thinking higher than last season's seventh-placed finish this time around. Motherwell have yet to record a victory and their winless start to the season leaves them eighth in the league with zero points on the board. They travel to Hibs aiming to avoid a fifth consecutive defeat against them at Easter Road. The home team has come out victorious on six of the last seven occasions that these teams have squared off. These statistics bode well for a Hibs win, especially with the form that they are in. Hibs forward Kevin Nisbet is one of the division's top goalscorers with three goals. Motherwell, meanwhile, took until the third game of the season to find the back of the net at all. They have failed to score on two of their last four trips to Hibs.

Given how strongly they have started this season, Hibs could aim to improve on their home record from last season. They only managed to win five of their 15 league matches at Easter Road. Motherwell had one of the best away records in the top flight, inferior only to Celtic and Rangers, losing just five of their 15 away outings. This season, however, they opened with an away defeat and we foresee another loss on the road incoming. Back Hibs to win.
