Hamburg vs Wehen Wiesbaden Prediction & Betting Tips - 2nd Bundesliga

Hamburg spent most of last season in the automatic promotion spots then failed to even make the play-off. The same could happen again this season, they are now third and desperately need a home win over Wehen who are one-from-bottom in the table. Hamburg were in the second automatic promotion place but Thursday night saw them lose 3-2 at then third-placed Stuttgart. The two sides have now exchanged positions with Stuttgart two points clear, five behind the league leaders. Hamburg led 2-0 at half-time at Stuttgart but it was all-square by the 60th minute. A draw looked likely until Stuttgart grabbed a 92nd minute winner. That's no wins for Hamburg in the three games played since the season resumed.  Home form is good though with nine out of 13 league games won with just a couple of defeats. Only nine home league goals have been conceded as they bid to return to the Bnndesliga at the second time of asking.  Their last home league loss was to St Pauli in February. Goals have been scarce in recent home games though with three of the last four having under 2.5 goals scored in them.

Their opponents are battling relegation and come into this game having lost three of their last four league games. The other was a 6-2 win at VFL Osnibruck but their other 13 away fixtures have only produced 14 goals. Those were rare goals for Wehen as they haven’t scored in three of their last four on the road.  Midweek saw them concede a first half injury time and lose 1-0 at home to Sandhausen. Wehen are a point from the relegation play-off place and three from safety. Six of their last eight games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. Form has picked up though with two of their last three league games being won but this is a lot tougher for them. Go for a home win to breathe some life back into Hamburg's bid for automatic promotion.
