Dinamo Minsk are in the Belarus Premier League relegation zone after three games. They are 14th but only behind 13th placed Gorodeja on goal difference. They lost their first two fixtures of the season beginning with a 1-0 home loss by newly-promoted Rukh Brest. A trip to FC Minsk followed and they had a nightmare first half conceding three goals without reply. Dinamo managed to score twice in the second half but still lost a fourth league and cup game in a row. Finally, they got off the mark for the season when beating Zhodino thanks to two first-half goals. Their away league form is a problem though with no wins in their last six.

Gorodeja also managed to lose their first two league games. They kicked off with a 1-0 away loss at Vibetsk giving their opponents the win with a first half own goal. Up next they lost 2-0 at home to Shakhtyor but revived their season with a 1-0 win at bottom-of-the-table Belshina thanks to a second half goal. Their home form has seen just two wins in their last seven home games in the Belarus Premier League. Dinamo Minsk will look to build on that win in their last game and can take the three points here to move out of the drop zone.
