Girona had lost six league and cup games in a row before traveling to Real Madrid. Everyone expected them to lose but they came away with a shock 2-1 win. That took them to 15th and four points above the relegation zone but they have to build on that result. The previous ten league games had produced just four points They have gone six home league games without a win and failed to score in the last two. The more you look at their stats, the more incredible that win at Real Madrid becomes. Home form has seen just two league wins all season and only Valladolid have scored less home goals then Girona. Eight of their 12 home league games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them including the last six.

Real Sociedad are seventh in the league and only a place and two points behind the final Europa League position. They are in good form at present with no defeats in their last nine league and cup games with no losses this year. There are a few teams in La Liga who draw far too many games and Real Sociedad are in that club. They have drawn four of their last six matches. Only one of their last five away league games have been won and three of those saw them fail to score. Four of the last five league matches have seen under 2.5 goals scored and that's the tip for this match.
