For the first time after the 2022 World Cup, Ghana will be in action, this time in the 2024 African Cup of Nations qualifiers. They will be hosting Angola in Group E, both sides on four points but with Ghana on top. With the locally based players having featured in the African Nations Championship (CHAN), this will feature largely foreign based stars. The Black Stars come into the game undefeated in four AFCON qualification matches, having won two of them and in the last 10, they’ve only lost to Sudan. Six clean sheets in their last 10 AFCON qualification matches will give them a lot of confidence but a run of 16 matches unbeaten at home in the competition will pump them up even more.

Angola are coming into this game undefeated in their last eight matches but most of their last 10 matches have been in CHAN related competitions, where only locally based players are permitted. In their last three AFCON qualifiers, they are unbeaten, but they have one clean sheet in the last five in this competition, with two losses therein. Twice in the last five AFCON qualifiers, they’ve lost, and they have no win in the last four away from home. Angola have even failed to score in two of the last four away matches in this competition.
