Germany take on Austria in the quarter finals of the Women's European Championships. The winners of this match face either defending champions The Netherlands or France in the semi-finals. Germany won their group with three wins out of three with nine goals scored and none conceded. They will be looking for more goals from Alexandra Popp who has scored one goal in each of their three matches played so far. The Germans had some poor results earlier in the year and recently lost to Serbia in a Women's World Cup qualifying match. Since then though, all four games played have been won. They last played Austria four years ago and won that 3-1 with Popp scoring the first goal.
Austria have won nine of their last 11 matches. They finished second in their group with wins over Northern Ireland and Norway but losing 1-0 to England. The goal they conceded against England is the only one that's been put past them in their last five internationals. This is only their second time in this championship, the previous time was in 2017 and they reached the semi-finals on that occasion, losing to Denmark on penalites. As well as the loss to England, they were also beaten by Denmark in a recent friendly. Back the Germans to win this, have a side bet on them doing so with under 2.5 goals being scored.
