Any betting list for the upcoming World Cup will have these two sides on the shortlist to lift the trophy. Germany are the defending world champions but didn't go on to win the European title in 2016 losing to France but have been unbeaten in their last 22 games since that defeat. They won all ten of their World Cup qualifiers but come into this game having drawn their last three matches against England, France and Spain. In their most recent match played last Friday, they drew 1-1 at home to another side fancied to do well in Russia, namely Spain. Brazil also played on Friday and had a much better result beating Russia 3-0 away with all the goals coming in the second half. That took their unbeaten run to eight games but three of those have been drawn and all of those were away from home.
