There is no doubt that the Conference League First Qualifying Round first leg match provided us with a big upset! That was Connah's Quay Nomads stunning 1-0 win over Slovenian opponents NK Bravo, at the Stozice Stadium last week. Many predicted this down as an easy home win, but The Nomads stunned the Siskarji with a deserved victory!
The Welsh Premier League side secured the win in the 83rd minute through Ben Maher and they now hold the advantage going into the second leg, which will be held at Bangor City's Nantporth Stadium. It won't faze the Welsh side playing away from their Essity Stadium in Flint, as they closed the previous season with just a single win from their last six league appearances there.
Like their hosts, NK Bravo are yet to get their season underway, and there was certainly an element of rust in their first-leg performance. They do have some positive data going their way for the second leg, including the fact that they were unbeaten in their last three away games in the PrvaLiga last season. Additionally, prior to that defeat at Connah's Quay, they had gone six games unbeaten to finish the season (although only one of those matches resulted in a win).
The winner of this competitive tie will go into the Second Qualifying Round of the Conference League where they will face a two-legged tie against Bosnia and Herzegovina outfit HSK Zrinjski Mostar. However, there will still be plenty of twists and turns in this tie before it is decided which of the two teams will make it into the Second Round of qualifying.

Our Connah's Quay Nomads FC vs Bravo Ljubljana Prediction
Our prediction for Connah's Quay Nomads v NK Bravo is: Under 2.5 goals to be scored.
Neither of these teams has a recent history of scoring lots of goals, or conceding many either. That was emphasised in a very tight first leg between the two where Connah's Quay snatched the winner with just seven minutes of the game remaining.
The home side will be playing in Bangor, rather than their home ground in Flint, which may well make this game even tighter. Picking the winner here is very tough, but the data strongly suggests goals will be at a premium.
