Fulham vs Swansea Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Midweek Championship action sees Fulham playing host to Swansea on Wednesday night. The Cottagers, in third place, are making a good fist of bouncing straight back up to the top flight after last season's relegation. Swansea, meanwhile, are within touching distance of the playoff places after two seasons in English football's second tier. They come into this game on the back of a 3-1 win over Huddersfield that puts them ninth in the table, five points off Preston in sixth place. Fulham have not tasted victory for three matches now, a 1-1 draw at Derby being the latest result to prolong their winless streak. With the race for promotion being so competitive, they cannot afford to continue dropping points. (Unless, of course, their rivals also drop points, which happens with regularity in the very open Championship.) Scott Parker will expect a better showing than their last home performance.

Humbled 3-0 at Craven Cottage by Barnsley, it was the latest in a series of vulnerable home results from Fulham. In 2020, they have won two matches and lost two matches. Each win was by a solitary goal, which isn't surprising considering Fulham's attacking struggles. They have failed to score more than one goal in nine of their last ten Championship fixtures. Swansea have fewer goals over the course of the campaign but are in better scoring form than Fulham, netting seven in their last two matches. The only problem they have is that they let in five goals in those games. They lost the reverse fixture in the first half of the season but Swansea have a good record against Fulham. We think that they are worth a double chance punt in this game.
