Fulham continue their bid to win automatic promotion to the Premier League. They start this game in third place in the table and trail second-placed Cardiff City by just a point with both teams having two games to play. Their promotion hopes were boosted when Cardiff lost 3-1 at Derby on Tuesday and the Londoner's final two games are against sides both in the bottom five. Fulham are unbeaten in their last 22 league games since a surprising loss to today's opponents way back in December. Home form has seen Fulham win 11 of the last 13 but they are still getting over the recent 1-1 draw with Brentford where the visitors equalized in the dying moments of the game.

Sunderland lost at home to Burton Albion last weekend and that doomed them to a second straight relegation and only their second season in the third-tier of English football. It's been a dreadful season for them and they can't wait for the nightmare to end. They are bottom of the league with only six wins all season but one of those was in December when they beat Fulham at home and they are the last side in the Championship to defeat Fulham so the Londoners will be after a spot of revenge here. Sunderland have just one win in their last 16 league games and away from home they have one win in the last nine. Sometimes when the pressure is off, relegated sides suddenly find form but this looks a depressed club that desperately needs to turn itself around. Go for Fulham to get the home win and be ahead at both half and full time.
