Fulham have started life in the Championship on a high and three matches in, they are joint top and angling for a return to the topflight. They will be hosting Hull City in Week 4, and heading to the game, they have seven points, four better than 18th placed Hull City. While they haven’t been up to scratch defensively, Fulham’s attack has been impressive. They have no clean sheet in the opening three matches, conceding a goal in each, but they have scored eight goals in that run. They are coming from a 2-1 win over Millwall, a game in which they conceded very late, missing a first clean sheet of their season. Harry Wilson isn’t back yet, as he still has two matches on suspension after his sending off against Huddersfield. Fulham have three wins in five meetings with Hull City and will want to extend that here.

Hull City have one win in their last five matches against Fulham and they aren’t on a very impressive run ahead of this game. They are coming from a 3-0 loss at the hands of Queens Park Rangers in their last game, which came right after their elimination from the League Cup by Wigan Athletic. In the last four matches, they have one win and no clean sheet; two times in that run they’ve conceded two or more goals. Their only win so far in the Championship was against bottom placed Preston North End, whom they thrashed 4-1 after coming from behind, in the first week of action. Hull are just coming from League One and they’ve found things to be tough in the Championship; the last time they played in this league, they had to endure eight losses in nine matches towards the finish.
