Frances Tiafoe vs Hubert Hurkacz Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Indian Wells

Hubert Hurkacz is the eighth seed at Indian Wells and is chasing his second Masters title of the year. He takes on Frances Tiafoe in round three and the winner of this match takes on either Denis Shapovalov (seeded ninth) or 19th seeded Aslan Karatsev. Hurkacz is the world number 12 and that's a rise of 22 places this year. His big triumph was in winning the Miami Masters with wins over Denis Shapovalov, Milos Raonic, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev and Jannik Sinner. His clay court season form was poor but then he reached the Wimbledon semi-final with wins over Daniil Medvedev and Roger Federer. Last month saw him win a hard court title in Metz. He's ninth in the live ATP Race, so could yet get into the end of season Tour Finals. He defeated Alexei Popyrin in straight sets to get through to this third round.

Frances Tiafoe is the world number 49 but was as low as 74 in May. This is his first tournament since the US Open, where he made it to the last 16. He won the Nottingham grass court tournament in June but that was a Challenger Tour event and no top 100 players were beaten. A quarter final in the Toronto Masters has helped him climb up the rankings. Tiafoe has had wins over Benoit Paire and 32nd seed Sebastian Korda so far this week,without dropping a set.  Back the more consistent (unless it's on clay) Hurkacz to get the win here.
