It will be a cracker as second-placed France take on table-toppers South Africa in the final round of Group D matches in the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup on Sunday. The Blues will aim for victory against the Springbok Women to win the group. Check out our prediction for the match below. 

France got off to a flying start in the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup, thrashing Italy 24-0 in their opening fixture. They also demolished Brazil 84-5 to book their place in the knockout stage of the competition.

The victory against Brazil saw the team rack up their sixth win in eight matches, five of which by double-digit margins. They are one point behind South Africa at the top and will look to secure victory on Sunday to win the group.

South Africa began their 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup campaign with a dominant bonus-point victory against Brazil. This was followed by another bonus-point victory in a closely contested match against Italy. Sinazo Mcatshulwa scored a late winning try, inspiring the team to the crucial victory that saw them go top of the group. 

Swys de Bruin’s side will look to top off this perfect run in the tournament with another strong performance against France. However, they have lost both of their recent meetings with France by 35+ points.
