France will hope to clinch the Six Nations title on Saturday evening. Going into this final set of games, Les Bleus are top of the table but only on points difference. Their final game sees them play England at home. Read our match prediction below.
The home side won their first three games of this year's Six Nations in impressive fashion. Hopes of a Grand Slam went up in smoke with a loss to Scotland last weekend. A win and a bonus point is likely to be enough to land the title due to their vastly superior points difference. The defending champs could even have retained their title if Ireland and Scotland draw earlier in the day.
When the fixtures were published, it looked as if this match might be the one that saw both teams fighting it out for the Six Nations title. That's not what has happened because England have seen their form collapse in recent games. Three in a row have been lost and they cannot lift the trophy this year. An improved performance in Paris is needed this weekend.

France - England: Form Analysis
The dreams of a French Grand Slam ended last weekend in Edinburgh. France were beaten 50-40 by Scotland and the relatively close score wasn't a true reflection of the dominance Scotland had in the match.
No Grand Slam but Les Bleus remain on course to win two successive Six Nations titles for the first time since 2007. They were hugely impressive in their previous wins over Ireland, Wales and Italy before the loss last weekend.
France have a strong home record against England.
Those three dominant wins have left them with a massively superior points difference and that could yet be vital this weekend. France have won three of their last four matches against England and not lost at home to the Red Roses since 2016.
England were full of confidence coming into the Six Nations. They were on a winning streak and then easily beat Wales in their opening match in these championships.
It's all gone wrong since then though with the Calcutta Cup lost to Scotland and then defeats by Ireland and Italy. There's plenty of criticism of their head coach but Borthwick has not opted to make a long set of changes here. More pressure will be put on him though if England were to lose a fourth match in this Six Nations championship.

France & England Squad Analysis
Oscar Jegou will miss this match against England. He’s been given a four-week suspension for the gouging incident with Scotland’s Ewan Ashman last weekend. His replacement is Temo Matiu who is making his international debut.
France probably still can’t accept that they went to Murrayfield and scored 40 points but still lost by ten. The bonus of playing last on Saturday means they will know exactly what is needed to win the title. It might even be won by the time the match gets underway..
There are changes in the pack for this final match of the 2026 Six Nations. This includes Charles Olivon switching to number eight from the second row due to the absence of Anthony Jelonch. Also out injured is Nicolas Depoortere.
Not the campaign England were expecting.
After three successive defeats and a ton of criticism in the last week, you might have expected England to make several changes for this trip to Paris. They can’t finish higher than fourth so why not experiment? That’s not what is happening though with just one change being made to the starting line-up that lost to Italy last weekend.
The sole change sees Ollie Chessum return in the back row. He started against Wales, Scotland and Ireland earlier in these championships. England will hope his skills at blind-side flanker will bring about some improvement. Sam Underhill is only on the replacement bench for this match. He unexpectedly started last weekend after Tom Curry was injured during the warm-up.
This is one of those games where England have little to lose. After so much anticipation of a strong Six Nations this season, another loss would be a massive blow for England. Fans will simply want to see them play more positively than in Rome last weekend.

Our France vs England Prediction
It'd be an even more exciting final day if all three matches were being played at the same time. They aren't though and France have the advantage of playing last and knowing exactly what they have to do to win the title, if it hasn't been won already.
France were dominant in their first three games and a repeat of that kind of performance should see them home. England have gone backwards in recent matches and lack positivity. Our main France v England prediction is France wins on a -10.5 handicap.
