The Davis Cup Finals get underway with this quarter-final match between France and Belgium. France are the third seeds but can the Belgians cause a seeding upset and make it into the last four? Read our match prediction below.
To reach the indoor hard court Davis Cup Finals tournament in Bologna, Italy, France have had wins over Brazil and Croatia losing only one out of the eight rubbers played. Last year saw the French team fail to reach the Finals after being beaten in the group stage.
They are without Ugo Humbert, Arthur Fils and Valentin Vacherot but still have a strong squad. Their two singles players are expected to be Arthur Rinderknech and Corentin Moutet who are both ranked in the top 40.
The winners of this match will face either top seeds, hosts and defending champions Italy without Sinner) or Austria in the last four.
Belgium defeated Chile and Australia to reach the Finals. They are also competing in Bologna after being beaten in the group stages in 2024. Playing in the singles will be the world number 43 Zizou Bergs and 74th ranked Raphael Collignon, both ranked below their French singles opponents.
France have the edge here and can make it into the semi-finals.
