Fluminense vs Flamengo Prediction & Betting Tips - Brasileirão Serie A

Flamengo top Serie A by four points at the time of writing this article and travel to ninth placed Fluminense. The league leaders have only lost one of their nine league games this season and are unbeaten in their last six league and cup games. Their only league defeat was away to Chapecoense and that's their only loss in their last sixteen matches. Flamengo have won their last three games, all with clean sheets and haven't conceded in the last four.  Away form is strong too with just one loss in the last ten league and cup matches. It's not just in Serie A they are having success as they are also through to the knock-out stages of the Copa del Libertadores tournament. 

Fluminense are ninth in Serie A and have only earned one point from their last two games. They only trail the league leaders by six points though, so a win here would put them in the title race but on the darker side, they are also only six points above the relegation zone. Tuesday saw them lose 2-1 at Parana with the winner coming two minutes from time. Parana are one from bottom in the table and that was their first win of the season so not a great confidence booster for Fluminense. Their home form is good though with three wins and a draw from their four home league games to date and that includes a win over second-placed Cruzeiro. This won't be easy for the visitors but their confidence must be higher than their opponents and their defence is solid, so go for an away win in this match.
