Flamengo made history last Monday after their 8-0 home demolition against Vitoria. It marked the largest ever margin of victory in the points era of the Brazil Serie A.
It was the latest in what is shaping up to be a phenomenal season for Filipe Luis’ squad. They lead second-place Palmeiras by four points in the league and Flamengo are also the current favourites to capture the Copa Libertadores after advancing to the quarter-finals.
