Ajax know they can't afford to lose this match and see the gap at the top widen even further. his match is a must-win for Ajax if they want to keep their hopes of winning the title alive.. Feyenoord are chasing their first Dutch Eredvisie title since 2017. They have been in impressive form as of late, taking advantage of their rivals’ stumbles to establish a four-point cushion between themselves and second place. They are currently unbeaten in their last ten domestic games and have scored six goals in their last two games. They have been particularly dominant at home, with eleven wins and two draws in thirteen games at De Kuip, scoring twenty-two goals in their last five home games. The hosts’ defence has also been solid, conceding just two goals in league games at home. However, they have a poor recent tradition when hosting Ajax, with three consecutive defeats without scoring and a seven game winless run. Despite this, Feyenoord will be confident of ending that streak, especially given their current form. 

Ajax have not been in the best of form lately. They are coming off a second consecutive league draw against Twente and have been winless in their last five Eredivisie games. Their offense, which was once considered one of the best in Europe, has not been as productive as it was in the past. They have scored just three times in their last three games, a far cry from the team that once scored for fun. Their record on the road is not as bad, with five games unbeaten, but they have conceded in eight of their last nine games. The Amsterdam side have also been picked apart by superior teams this season, conceding ten goals in two games against Napoli and five in two games against Liverpool, which could be a cause for concern in this match.
