Felix Auger Aliassime vs Daniil Medvedev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Australian Open

Second seeded Daniil Medvedev is up against ninth seed Felix Auger-Aliassime in the last eight of the Australian Open. It's a repeat of the 2021 US Open semi-final that was won by Medvedev. The Russian will be hoping for a repeat win and has since beaten the Canadian again. Medvedev only lost four games when beating Auger-Aliassime in the ATP Cup. That was his third win out of three against the Canadian. Medvedev is the highest men's seed and looking to win his second Grand Slam title in a row after winning the US Open. He's made the last eight in the past couple of years with the exception of the 2020 US Open. Medvedev will be looking to go one better after losing in the 2021 Australian Open to the absent Novak Djokovic. He has made it to this quarter final without facing a seeded player. In two of his matches, he's had to go to four sets and has played four tie-breaks.

That's two less than his opponent has played. Auger-Aliassime has had six in four matches. His win over Alejandro Davidovich Fokina saw all four sets won by a tie-break.  This is his third Grand Slam quarter final appearance in a row. He's only made it to one semi-final, that was the one he lost to Medvedev in New York. He was part of the Canadian team that won the ATP Cup, winning three of his five matches, losing to Fritz and Medvedev. Only one of his wins in this tournament have been in straight sets and he nearly lost to Emil Ruusuvouri in the first round. The world number nine had to come from two sets to one down to get the first round win. Back over 35.5 games to be played in this tournament, with a side bet on a tie-break.
