Federico Cina vs Alexandre Muller Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Chengdu Open

Federico Cina is making the most of being reinstated into the Chengdu Open as a lucky loser. He's one win away from the quarter-finals and takes on qualifier Alexandre Muller in round two of this outdoor hard court tournament. Muller has struggled this year with a 16-23 record and our prediction here is that Cina will win.

In the last eight, the winner will face either second seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina or unseeded Juan Manuel Cerundolo.

Cina won his first qualifying round match, but was then beaten by Nikoloz Basilashvili. Withdrawals earned him a lucky loser spot and in round one of the main draw, he defeated Camilo Ugo Carabelli 6-3 6-2. He has now won 15 of his 24 outdoor hard court matches played this year with one Challenger Tour title won.

This is the first time he's made it past round one of an ATP Tour event on this surface in 2026.

Alexandre Muller had to win two qualifying matches to reach this main draw. He did so despite dropping a set in his opening match. Muller then beat Moise Kouame in the first round 6-4 6-0. This is his third ATP Tour outdoor hard court second round of the year, but he has not progressed any further and is 7-7 on this surface in 2026.
