Romanian giants CFR Cluj are so far one of the biggest beneficiaries of the UEFA decision to do away with the away goal rule. In the first qualifying round of the Champions League, they needed extra time to see off Boraj Banja Luka. They are now set to host Gibraltar’s Lincoln Red Imps in the return leg of the second qualifying round and they lead 2-1 from the first leg. CFR Cluj go here on a good run, having won three straight matches and scoring two or more goals in them but they have no clean sheet in their last four matches. Each of those four matches has produced over 2.5 goals.

Lincoln Red Imps had a good start at home in the first leg but crumbled in the second half to concede twice and they lost 2-1 to Cluj. Their defensive steel was breached, having gone to the game on three clean sheets in four matches. It was also their first loss in five matches and this is a must win game for them to proceed. Four of their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals and they’ve scored in each of their last five matches, in four of them scoring two or more. In the last round, they thrashed Luxembourg’s Fola Esch 7-2 on aggregate but this was always going to be a tougher tie.
