CFR Cluj made it to the play-off round of the Champions League but lost out to Slavia Prague. They now find themselves in the Europa League in a group that includes Glasgow Celtic, who they beat in the Champions League third qualifying round. The Romanian club are two points clear at the top of their domestic league but recently lost their unbeaten record losing 3-2 at Astra. Current form isn't good with only two wins in their last six competitive games. They lost both legs of their Champions League play-off round tie. Before that they could only draw at home against Celtic. Only one of their last seven home Europa League games have been won.

Lazio are ninth in Serie A with four points from their first three league fixtures. They lost their unbeaten league record when losing 2-1 at SPAL last weekend. Lazio are in their third successive season in the Europa League and have made it through to the knock-out stages on each occasion. They made it to the last eight in the 2017/18 season and last term they lost in the last 32 to Sevilla. Away form isn't great in the Europa League though with four losses in the last five played. They have been up against tough opposition though including Eintracht Frankfurt and Red Bull Salzburg. CFR Cluj looks an easier option so go for an away win in this match.
