After playing five preseason friendly matches, it is time for real action for Romanian giants CFR Cluj, as they start their season with a Champions League game, taking on Bosnia-Herzegovina side, Borac Banja Luka. Cluj have no competitive match since finishing their league season in May and after a 4-0 win over Wels in their first friendly game, they’ve failed to hit more than a goal in the last four. They have lost one of the last four matches and each one of them has hit under 2.5 goals, while they have two clean sheets only in their last five matches.

Borac’s only planned friendly match ahead of the new season was canceled. They were supposed to take on Slovenian side Olimpija at the end of June but with the cancellation, it means they haven’t played since end of May. Some rustiness is expected from Borac, and especially given they weren’t the best of scorers towards the close of the season. In their last two matches they failed to score completely, marking four games in their last seven that have failed to score more than a goal. While they have kept clean sheets in half of their last 10 matches, Borac’s most recent matches haven’t been high scoring. Only two of their last seven games have produced over 2.5 goals.
