Everton vs West Ham Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Daniel Ngulu | in Premier League Prediction
Everton have had mixed results lately; their early season shimmer is gone and they are dealing with injuries to key players. They will be hosting West Ham United in Round 8 of the league, with both sides eyeing returns to winning ways. Everton go into this game placed fifth on 14 points, while West Ham are ninth with 11 points. In their last outing, Everton came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Manchester United and have just one clean sheet in the last five matches. They have conceded seven goals in their last five matches but at home they’ve done well going to this game, with four straight wins in the league. The Toffees are set to miss their starters in attack, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Brazilian forward Richarlison. However, they should welcome back Alex Iwobi and Seamus Coleman while Lucas Digne’s injury isn’t as bad as earlier feared and he may also be available to fortify the defence. Andros Townsend has really stepped up in attack, and goes to this game having scored three times in the last four matches, including the equalizer against Manchester United. Everton have dominated this game in recent meetings, winning four of six and losing just once. Five of those six meetings have produced under 2.5 goals.
West Ham United conceded a late goal in their last game, and went on to lose 2-1 to Brentford. As David Moyes returns to Goodison Park, he will be eyeing a win against his former employers, and one thing he will bank on is an impressive scoring form. His team has failed to score in just one of the last 10 matches. West Ham United’s last five matches have been highlighted by late drama, with five goals scored in the dying minutes. Their fine start to the season has died down and Moyes will feel this is a perfect venue to reignite things after winning just one of their last five league matches. He will also need to work on the defence, having conceded twice three times in the last five league games. Vladimir Coufal is the biggest doubt for West Ham but he may just get late approval to feature in this game.

Our Everton vs West Ham Prediction
Everton have a good home run going to this game and have also done well against West Ham United in recent meetings. They have key injuries but will bank on Andros Townsend to continue with his hot streak while the return of Coleman and Digne should be good for the defence. West Ham have slumped in their recent league matches and though they have a good scoring run, we feel they will struggle at Goodison Park, so we will back Everton to win.
