The crisis appears to be over at Goodison Park with Everton now 10th in the table and starting this latest set of Premier League games eight points above the relegation zone they recently occupied. Their last three home league games have all ended in wins with nine goals scored and two conceded. Wayne Rooney is defying his many critics and has scored five goals in the past month. Their Christmas programme includes games against Chelsea and Manchester United but also encounters with West Brom and Bournemouth. This week they host Swansea City looking to extend their unbeaten run of five league and cup games and they are still yet to taste defeat under new boss Sam Allardyce. Swansea City might be needing a new boss the way things are going. They are bottom of the table and by the time this game begins could be as many as five points from safety. They have lost their last five away league games and have only won one of their last ten league and cup matches. Goals are still a problem but Wilfried Bony has scored a couple in the last three games but Tammy Abraham still hasn't scored since October 14. Just the nine league goals this season and despite Swansea being unbeaten in their last seven league and cup games against Everton, the home side can get the win here.
